John "Jack"'s Story
Here I am with my sister Tina. Some of you might remember her; she was the class of 1968. This picture was taken in the summer of 2004. After high school I moved to Roseville, CA, where I live today. My wild party days were ended by the Susanville draft board in October 1967. I spent two years with the army, where I had the lovely duty of being an infantryman and served in Vietnam. After returning, the serious Jack attended Sac State and received a degree in accounting. Following an apprenticeship, I became a CPA and formed Roseville's first CPA firm. I still practice and love what I am doing.

bout anything you do outdoors. I would have to say the most enjoyable thing I have done in life, was to run the Boston Marathon in 1996.
In 2005 I became very ill with a problem called "Amylodiosis". My local doctors gave me up for dead, but the internet (research), family and friends helped me find the Boston University Medical Center where they treated this very aggressive blood problem. I lost over 60lbs. (most of which I have since gained back), lost my kidneys (which also came back-a miracle) and gained a greater respect for spirituality. The cure was a stem cell transplant and high dose chemo. The treatment changed my entire body type, but heck, I'm still alive!
